Tian Zhongyu was the longest-term man in Shandong’s governor. For nearly four years, if it weren’t for the "Lincheng carjacking case" that shocked China and foreign countries during his tenure, he was forced to Resign, Maybe the term will be longer.
The Lincheng car hijacking case made Chen Tiaoyuan and pitted Tian Zhongyu. Under the pressure of the diplomatic mission, Cao Kun had to ask Tian Zhongyu to resign on his own initiative (Cao Kun bribed the election of the president, Tian Zhongyu gave a lot of money). After Tian Zhongyu resigned, he became a public servant and never set foot in the military and political circles.
During Tian Zhongyu's tenure in Shandong, the leader of the New Culture Movement, Hu Shi, came to Shandong three times to give speeches.
After Tian Zhongyu died of illness, Hu Shi had an article entitled "Half Day Talk on the Seashore————In Memory of General Tian Zhongyu". In Hu Shi's eyes, Tian Zhongyu was gentle and incorruptible.

Because of the confrontation with Feng Yuxiang, Zhang Zuolin was Duan Qirui’s main support. Duan had to remove Zheng Shiqi from the post and appoint Zhang Zongchang as the governor of Shandong. It sounds good to say that it's "informative", but it's actually a thick-skinned, it doesn't matter what you want to do.
Eating, drinking, prostitution and gambling are omnipotent. He himself is an expert at fighting "bad battles". He is good at winning in chaos and has the "essence" of art of war.
During the heyday, even his staff didn't know the number, strength, and weaponry of his troops, and he didn't even know it himself.
The aunts don’t have a number themselves, this is normal, the flow is too frequent, coming and going.
It is said that he once asked his two wives to keep the large seals of the Supervisory Office and the Provincial Office respectively. They gambled back and used Shandong’s annual education funds as a bet.
People are afraid of famous pigs and strong. Many of the so-called anecdotes that Zhang Zongchang has circulated have actually happened to other warlords, and they are indiscriminately attached to his head.
Just like a random sentence, preceded by "Lu Xun once said", it becomes Lu Xun's "famous epigram".
On September 3, 1932, Zhang Zongchang was assassinated at the Jinan Railway Station. His experience was similar to that of Sun Chuanfang.
The assassin Zheng Jicheng also publicly declared that he was "avenging his father." Zheng Jicheng's adoptive father, Zheng Jinsheng, was trapped and killed by Zhang Zongchang during the National Army battle between Zhang Zongchang and Feng Yuxiang.
