In August 1945 (33 years old), the Soviet Red Army entered the northeast. After an air raid warning, Runqi's guard Puyi boarded the "Queen's" train and fled to Dalizigou (the seat of the Japanese Iron Ore Company) in Linjiang County, Tonghua. A few days later, Japan announced its unconditional surrender, and Puyi had to read the abdication edict for the third time.
After that, Runqi escorted Puyi to Shenyang and tried to fly to Japan. But as soon as they arrived at Shenyang Airport, they became the Soviet UnionCaptive of the army.
